Did you vote today??

Well here's to hoping that everyone went out and voted today for the person of their choice. While some believe it isn't very pirate like of me to involve myself with voting, I can appreciate the sacrifices of those before me as well as currently around the world who may not have been able to vote. Some people I know refuse to vote saying it doesn't matter or they are all thieves or whatever. While I agree that most politicians are shady as poo I still feel that one has little right to gripe about societal ills when they are not full participants. So thank you to all of those who voted today and I, like you, will try to stay awake long enough to see how it all shakes out tonight (Last election, I had no child and was at a hipster club called DC9 right near the 930 club in Washington DC with some Rastas and some Skinheads--yes they do hang together frequently do not believe everything you see on Jerry Springer--ANYWAY I had just seen the Bad Brains play and was at an after party when Obama won. Seems like a lifetime ago!) Now I am barely awake at 9:30 and drinking caffeine free soda...

Gearing up for the Holidaze

So I am having to put my son back into daycare full time, even though I do not actually have a "job" per se. I will be upcycling like a madwoman in order to try and make some holiday sales. Additionally, the Olney Farmers and Artists Market may pick up my totes in a joint fund raising effort for the market and my pocket.   Pictures coming soon, camera battery died.
